The focus of this course and associated clinical is health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, and health restoration for the child, adolescent, and family. Course content gives emphasis to nursing care, care for the individual client/family, developmental alterations, and family-centered care. The biological, physical, social, spiritual, and behavioral sciences foundation for pediatric care are considered.
