NUR 620: Global Healthcare Dimensions

This course is an examination of global health and the involvement of nursing in promoting healthy communities. The student will examine global health concepts, theories, epidemiology, and global demographics. Threats to health and wellness will be explored including environmental impact, disease, disasters, and violence. Students also build advanced skills in interprofessional collaboration used to improve patient and population outcomes. An emphasis will be placed on opportunities to influence health policy, social inequalities, and ethical principles.
