This course provides graduate level students with advanced knowledge of physiological responses to drugs used in the treatment of disease. Issues of drug interactions, polypharmacy, drug misuse and abuse are explored. The student explores the nurse’s role in facilitating client compliance to treatment regimens. Interprofessional communication and collaboration are emphasized.
